Zorba the Greek

What are your feelings about Zorba the Greek?  Is he strange? Witty? Worthy of note?

    I thoroughly enjoyed both the book and the movie, although there were some gruesome parts, there was a lot of humor and they both gave you a lot of insight on the way the greeks live.

    I agree. There's no doubt Zorba is a free-flowing personality, but it think he's a bit strange for me. I definitely enjoyed hearing his philosophy on life though. "Live life to the fullest, never miss an opportunity."
